QuoteAs an educator, my mission is to ensure my students are successful; not just in my classroom, but in life as well.

In order to achieve this goal, I will help students develop effective problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities. By providing a positive learning environment and exhibiting an enthusiastic attitude everyday, I will help my students develop into lifelong learners.

I will recognize the individuality of each student, and do whatever is necessary to meet their needs. I will establish high expectations for my students; both academically and behaviorally and I will challenge my students to live up to these expectations, allowing them to rise to their potential.

In case you were curious, here's a little information about myself.

I was born in Mesa, Arizona, and spent most of my youth in California and Montana. I graduated from Western Montana College and earned my Master's degree in Education through Walden University. I am currently working on my doctoral degree (Ed. D.) through Walden as well.

I have been teaching 8th grade American History at TRMS for the past 14 years. Before I came to Tennessee, I taught for three years on an Indian reservation in Montana. I was the High School history teacher, as well as the J. V. Boy's Basketball coach, and Head Girl's Basketball coach.

My wife Sherrie and I have a terrific daughter, Chelsey, who got married over the summer.

Some of my hobbies include following the 6 time Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers during the NFL season, playing chess whenever I can find an opponent, and fishing when the weather is nice.
